Esperanza Sanchez Chica (Age 59)

Germania Eloisa Fraser (Age 83)

On Tuesday, November 28, 2017, of Boyds, MD. Beloved wife of the late Walter Fraser; mother of Andrew Fraser, David Fraser-Hidalgo, Leonor Goral and the late Alex Fraser; sister of Ruth Langel and Edgar P. H. Wayne MacDonald

H. Wayne MacDonald, 70, beloved husband of Deborah MacDonald of Ashton, MD died peacefully on Sunday, November 26, 2017.  Born July 1, 1947 he was the son of the late William H. MacDonald and Mary E. MacDonald.  Wayne graduated from Northwood High School and the University of Maryland. He had a successful career as a real estate broker and appraiser.  In his spare time he was an avid golfer and sports fan.  He is survived by his children Howard MacDonald, Jr., Matthew MacDonald (Heidi), David MacDonald (Jennifer) and Rebecca Schimel (Dan); Step Daughters Kimberly McNamara (Casey) and Kathryn Mooney; Grandchildren Connor and Brianna MacDonald, Meaghan Robson (Matthew), Brady, Andrew and Addison MacDonald, Landon and Maden Schimel, Charlie, Molly, Maggie & Billy McNamara.  Also survived by many loving family members and friends.  Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD 20901 (Valet Parking), Thursday, November 30, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.  Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter’s Church, 2900 Sandy Spring Road, Olney, MD, on Friday December 1, at 10:30 am.  Private Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery.  Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Heart Associate, Memorial & Tribute Processing Ctr., 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060 or National Kidney Foundation, 5335 Wisconsin Avenue, NW, #300, Washington, DC 20015.

ELNORA “ELLEN” B. MINCHILLO

Elnora “Ellen” B. Minchillo passed away November 20, 2017 in the company of her close family.  She now joins her husband, Vincent, and her son, Douglas, in eternal peace. She will always be remembered for her kindness, love of gardening, voracious appetite for reading, affinity for classical music, and her ability to bring everyone together over a home-cooked meal. She is sorely missed by her children, Elizabeth (David) Goggin and Glen (Angela), as well as her grandchildren Christopher (Jane), Tyler, Conner, & Lacie. A private service and interment will be held on Tuesday, November 27.

Thomas Edwin Cooper, Jr. (Age 86)

Maria Magdalena Serafini (Age 90)

On Monday, November 20, 2017, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved wife of the late Julio Cesar Serafini; sister-in-law of Oscar Serafini. Samuel Bernard Formal (Age 94)

On Sunday, November 19, 2017, of Silver Spring, MD.  Beloved husband of Rosamond A. Formal; father of Christopher (Debra), David (Carol) and James (Joanne) Formal; brother of the late Ruth Formal Wagner.  Also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was born in Providence, Rhode Island. He enlisted in the Navy during World War II, and served at Iwo Jima and Okinawa.  He subsequently studied microbiology and immunology, and his career included service at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research.  A Memorial Service will be held at the Chapel at Riderwood Village, 3110 Gracefield Road, Silver Spring, MD, 20904, at a later date in January.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Riderwood Scholarship Fund, Attn: Philanthropy, Riderwood Village, 3110 Gracefield Rd., Silver Spring, MD  20904, or to the LCI National Association at http://usslci.org/.

Wayne L. Carty (Age 80)

On Saturday, November 18, 2017, of Potomac, MD.  Beloved husband of Rita M. Carty; father of Gina C. (Richard) Vaughn; grandfather of Alexandra Vaughn; son of the late John and Elda Carty; brother of John L. Carty; son-in-law of Frances Cardillo; also survived by his brothers- and sisters-in-law David (Dolores) and Conrad (Charlotte), and many nieces and nephews.  Wayne was a US Airforce veteran and longtime employee of the Bechtel Corporation.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth Church, 917 Montrose Rd, Rockville, MD 20852 on Wednesday, November 29, at 10 am.  Private Interment at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington VA at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Parkinson Foundation of the National Capital Area, 7700 Leesburg Pike Suite 208,Falls Church, VA  22043.
